Quality Office Fitouts

If you read my last blog post you’d be aware of my current struggles as an office space and business owner. To be frank, it’s a hard time to own a business. I know a lot of people will read this and think “oh woe me” because not many people have sympathy for business owners, but seriously, woe me. It’s been tough these last two years. Only business owners would understand.

To try and get my business back to some level of normalcy, I’ve hired someone to change up my office space by doing office interior design. Melbourne CBD offices need to be the best quality possible these days to convince people to want to come back to them. There’s been a serious culture shift in the last couple of years and it’s going to be really hard to come back from. Originally, no one knew what it was like to work from home so no one complained about coming into the office. I’m sure they didn’t particularly like it, but they didn’t know what they were missing out on.

Now that they’ve had a taste for working from home, it’s going to be a lot more difficult to convince them to come back into the office even if we have the highest quality office fitouts in Melbourne. I’ll probably tell them and they’ll be like ‘so what?’. I guess I can’t really blame them. If I was an employee I’d probably be the same.

Now that I’ve worked with the office designers on the plan for my new office space, I do have a tiny bit of hope. I really need this to succeed because I want to watch my employees as they work. I can’t keep an eye on what they’re doing when they’re working from home. What if they finish a task sooner than I anticipated? They probably wouldn’t even tell me and then they’d just have free time on their hands. I can’t have that.
